Contract Staff, Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovenia.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement backend functionalities in Python for large-scale enterprise SaaS applications.

• Enhance technical quality through rigorous testing, CI/CD practices, and secure design principles.

• Offer technical direction and architectural insights for backend projects.

• Create data models and pipelines that convert high-volume sensor data streams into organized, structured time-series events.

• Manage a synchronization and reconciliation engine for distributed edge clients.

• Establish integrations between the platform and client enterprise systems.

• Ensure design correctness in the context of concurrency, transactional assurances, and data consistency.

• Develop a configuration system for large enterprise clients that avoids codebase forking.

• Create APIs that support latency-sensitive operational user interfaces.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience in software development, specifically with Python and Django.

• Proven experience with large, intricate backend SaaS applications.

• Exceptional skills in modeling complex data systems and delivering scalable solutions.

• Practical experience in maintaining production code and iterating based on customer feedback.

• Familiarity with Celery, RabbitMQ, TimescaleDB/Athena, and a background in manufacturing or industrial technology is advantageous.
