This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +8 more states.
• Acts as the primary contracts specialist for designated projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Develops, prepares, reviews, and manages agreements, including all related supporting documents and/or other memoranda, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and statutes.
• Delivers reviewed, edited, and 'ready-for-approval' contractual actions or other documentation for internal review and approval (e.g., Senior Contracts Manager review).
• Assists, engages, and/or serves as the main moderator in low-to-moderately complex contract negotiations with performers and/or customers, as assigned.
• Directs troubleshooting efforts to resolve contractual issues and escalates to management when necessary.
• Analyzes contract terms to identify potential risks and monitors compliance issues at the prime, performer, and sub-performer levels.
• Produces high-quality documentation, correspondence, and presentations to support various initiatives.
• Reviews supporting materials and agreement documents, conducts timely research, and shares findings with supervisors and/or team members as applicable.
• Creates high-quality documentation and correspondence.
• In collaboration with supervisors and the team, serves as a key liaison between the organization and performers/customers for the assigned workload.
• Maintains accurate, comprehensive, and thorough contract records to ensure adherence to contractual, reporting, and regulatory obligations.
• Contributes to presentations in support of various initiatives as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree or another Advanced Degree in a relevant field of study, such as Business Administration.
• Over 3 years of federal contracting experience (in commercial/private sector and/or civil service).
• Direct experience in contract execution, procurement, or acquisition supporting a defense-centric contracting portfolio.
• Proficient knowledge and practical experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other pertinent regulations and guidelines.
• Experience in executing projects and contracts from inception to completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to express ideas clearly and effectively.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Competence in negotiating terms and resolving conflicts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address arising challenges.
• High level of ethics and integrity to ensure compliance with terms and conditions and to protect sensitive information.
• Capability to manage multiple deadline-driven tasks and projects concurrently.
• Proactive in taking initiative and anticipating needs and issues before they arise.
• Ability to adapt to evolving circumstances, regulations, policies, and project requirements.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in contract documentation and management.
• Proficient with contract management software and tools, as well as general office software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
