This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee the entire contract lifecycle for intricate agreements related to financial institutions, such as vendor contracts, MSAs, SaaS, SOWs, NDAs, amendments, renewals, and terminations.
• Evaluate, revise, and negotiate contract terms pertaining to business conditions and service standards.
• Ensure that contracts adhere to regulatory requirements for financial institutions and comply with internal policies regarding third-party risk management.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Information Security, Procurement, and business stakeholders to evaluate and minimize contractual risks.
• Recognize non-standard terms and escalate higher-risk matters as necessary.
• Keep precise records of contracts and workflows within a contract lifecycle management (CLM) system.
• Monitor essential contract obligations, renewal dates, and termination rights to gather important data.
• Assist in the creation and organization of clause libraries and negotiation playbooks.
• Offer guidance to stakeholders on contract requirements, policies, and regulatory expectations.
• Aid in ongoing process improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in contract management, contract administration, or legal operations within a financial institution or fintech company.
• In-depth knowledge of contracting requirements, including third-party and vendor risk management.
• Proven track record of independently negotiating and finalizing complex vendor agreements.
• Outstanding attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a completely remote work setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
• Experience supporting regulatory frameworks for financial institutions (e.g., OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve) is preferred.
• Familiarity with GLBA, data privacy regulations, SOC reports, business continuity planning, and information security standards.
• Experience in negotiating agreements with core financial institution providers, technology vendors, and professional services firms.
• Demonstrated capability to synthesize, organize, and manage extensive volumes of contractual and operational data for future reference and dissemination.
