Contract Risk Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide expert advice on contract assessment, risk identification, and the negotiation of terms that safeguard client interests.

• Work closely with brokers, placement teams, legal partners, and clients to evaluate contractual risks, suggest practical solutions, and facilitate efficient deal execution.

• Review the insurance components of proposed contracts for assigned Marsh clients and offer counsel to insureds prior to finalizing agreements.

• Serve as the primary reviewer for contracts submitted by clients and client teams.

• Identify the lines of coverage relevant to the contract.

• Assess contract stipulations against existing policy or policies.

• Verify whether the insured has adequate coverage, liability limits, and compliance with the Client’s Insurance Program.

• Provide assistance to the Certificate team regarding certificates issued in relation to client contract insurance requirements, as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree or equivalent professional experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in insurance, financial services, or a related field (including claims management, client management, contract review or processing, commercial lines underwriting, policy placement, Surplus Lines).

• A P&C license or the capability to acquire a P&C license within 60 days of employment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

• Exceptional organizational abilities, with a knack for prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

• Proficient in navigating complex and challenging situations while offering guidance.

• Capability to work independently and make informed business decisions.

• Strong research skills with the ability to convey findings to stakeholders.

• Clear and effective oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate within a team and engage with colleagues at all levels.
