Contract Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain robust backend and infrastructure systems utilizing Golang and Java, contributing across the broader engineering stack.

• Collaborate closely with client teams during working sessions, articulating technical decisions and clarifying complex engineering concepts effectively.

• Deploy and oversee cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP using Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), Terraform, and Flux.

• Proactively utilize AI-driven tools and workflows to expedite development, enhance code quality, and promote engineering best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in backend and infrastructure engineering, with practical experience in Golang and Java.

• Experience in developing or integrating decentralized systems, data infrastructure, or distributed technologies.

• Solid expertise in cloud infrastructure: AWS, GCP, Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), Terraform, and Flux.

• Proficient and habitual use of AI tools in daily coding practices (beyond basic awareness).

• Familiarity with TigerBeetle, YugabyteDB, or Red Panda.

• Experience in fintech, core banking, or regulated financial services sectors.

• Willingness to travel to London occasionally.

• Professional proficiency in English.
