This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Develop, research, and propose topics related to security, observability, and platform tailored to various stages of the buyer journey.
• Strategically plan, prioritize, and produce quarterly content assets, focusing primarily on long-form e-books.
• Manage projects from the initial pitch and outlining phase through writing, design, publication, and activation.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing to align audience needs with product advantages tailored for different personas.
• Work in conjunction with Global Integrated Campaigns to ensure projects remain on schedule and address any challenges.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and streamline content production processes.
• Monitor asset performance and share insights and trends.
• Edit the work of others to ensure alignment with Splunk’s tone and style guide, enhancing the overall narrative.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, in journalism, content marketing, or similar writing-focused roles.
• Familiarity with B2B SaaS/cloud services aimed at technical audiences.
• A keen interest and knowledge of business and technology trends.
• Capable of transforming complex subjects into easily digestible narratives for targeted personas and objectives.
• Proven ability in storytelling across a diverse array of topics.
• Experience in meeting deadlines, juggling multiple tasks, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Proven track record of effective collaboration and communication across teams and with internal stakeholders/subject matter experts.
• Experience in utilizing AI tools for content creation.
• Preferred experience in writing about cybersecurity, observability/monitoring, and data.
• Familiarity with creating gated campaign content that drives demand is a plus.
• Experience in crafting conversion copy for campaign landing pages.
• Background in working with creative teams.
• A history of enhancing cross-team processes and a strong passion for process improvement.
