Dutch Multimedia Content Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Localize, translate, and adapt various types of multimedia, legal, technical, marketing, and other content while following established style guides and guidelines.

• Create original copy for music, television, app store applications, video on-demand, and game subscription services.

• Conduct linguistic reviews of your own work as well as that of fellow localization team members.

• Edit and verify content for factual accuracy.

• Execute Localization QA testing on content published across live platforms.

• Carry out market-specific research regarding content treatment, product and terminology trends, and localization methodologies.

• Transcribe spoken materials, such as lyrics.

• Compile reports on data and assets across various media and content types.

• Review linguistic evaluations and develop training resources and project documentation.

• Educate localization colleagues on terminology, style, and best practices.

• Collaborate with the global language team through virtual meetings and emails to align terminology and style, gather market insights, and assist in translations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content, such as music, television, and applications, with evidence of writing samples.

• Proven experience in the translation and localization of multimedia content.

• Quick to identify issues and inconsistencies within a large volume of content, making informed decisions based on available information.

• Extensive knowledge of music artists, television, cinema, gaming, and pop culture.

• Ability to take ownership of the language market and make confident linguistic choices.

• Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Strong computer skills; familiarity with iOS/macOS systems is a plus.

• Capable of typing in their native language using a local (English) keyboard.

• Ability to work independently and remotely.

• Collaborative mindset; enjoys working as part of a team in a multicultural setting.
