Content Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Edits and publishes media content across various platforms.

• Oversees the Ag Hub for Farmers WordPress site by adjusting the layout according to daily news, as well as creating and removing pages as necessary.

• Verifies the facts referenced by editors and reporters.

• Enhances readership by crafting precise and captivating web headlines that drive search traffic.

• Modifies content to ensure alignment with the company’s editorial style and relevant customer segments.

• Engages in daily editorial meetings to strategize content publication.

• Maintains regular communication with reporters and editors to enhance published content.

⛳️ Requirements

• One to five years of experience in journalism writing and/or editing.

• Proficiency with content management systems.

• Experience collaborating with reporters and other content creators.

• A solid understanding of or interest in business journalism, particularly in a business-to-business (B2B) context as opposed to general consumer content.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with urgent news and critical market information.

• Ability to coordinate with Content Editor team members on editing and posting workloads.

• Skill in collaborating with reporters to swiftly review editing modifications before publication.

• Experience in editing and revising technical content to enhance its accuracy and clarity.

• Capability to work with a diverse range of content creators, from seasoned business reporters to freelancers and analysts who possess expertise in their fields but may lack writing and content creation skills.

• Minimal travel is required.
