This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee the enhancement of current curriculum and the creation of new Social Studies content for grades K–12.
• Draft, evaluate, and modify curriculum and assessments to ensure precision, alignment, and satisfaction for users.
• Engage in effective communication with the content development team and members of the product development group.
• Assist in the development and refinement of user stories related to curriculum development.
• Provide consultation and support to teachers in both the creation and execution of curriculum.
• Create and update Social Studies curriculum and assessments that are in line with research-based literacy instruction.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional Agile team to accomplish project goals and develop features.
• Suggest and implement innovative working methods or procedures within your designated area.
• A Bachelor’s degree is necessary; a degree in education, curriculum, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience is required, with a focus on virtual learning being advantageous.
• At least 3 years of experience in curriculum development is essential, especially in creating curriculum for asynchronous virtual learning.
• Proven experience in developing standards-aligned K–12 social studies curriculum.
• A solid understanding of various social studies content areas, including history, civics, geography, and economics.
• Familiarity with applying best practices in instructional design.
