This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create and evaluate content-specific test items, which may include multiple choice, technology-enhanced, extended response, and performance-based tasks across various grade levels for formative assessments.
• Utilize AI-driven tools to aid in the development, review, and enhancement of assessment content, ensuring that all outputs meet quality and accessibility criteria.
• Collaborate with team members to incorporate AI-generated assets into assessment workflows, providing feedback based on content and educational expertise.
• Assist in the selection, assignment, management, and training of item/passage writers and educators to develop items aligned with standards, cognitive complexity, and best practices in item development.
• Lead and support customer meetings, offering expertise in content assessment.
• Facilitate activities related to the construction of tests and the review of assembled test forms.
• Work closely with team members, engaging in planning, status, review meetings, and more.
• Collaborate extensively with content implementation managers, other content developers, psychometricians, and various Pearson groups.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies pertinent to educational content creation and assessment, including AI advancements.
• Execute additional duties as required.
• Some travel may be necessary.
• A Bachelor's degree in education, a content-specific area, or equivalent experience is mandatory.
• A minimum of five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the relevant content area is preferred.
• Professional knowledge of the content-specific area and current educational trends is essential.
• Experience in large-scale educational measurement is preferred.
• General knowledge of all phases involved in the development, processing, scoring, and reporting of large-scale assessments is advantageous.
• Proven excellence in AI-supported content development or strong potential and readiness to effectively leverage AI in content creation is necessary.
• Experience or familiarity with prompting, refining, and assessing AI-generated content for educational purposes is required.
• Proficiency with basic software tools and technology, along with the confidence to work with unfamiliar programs, is needed.
• A strong interest in learning about and adapting to new AI technologies as they evolve is expected.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to creatively and flexibly address challenges with diverse audiences is essential.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, along with the capacity to manage multiple activities and adapt to unexpected situations, are necessary.
