Consultant, Pain Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and oversee patients utilizing cannabis-based treatments.

• Make clinical judgments regarding the appropriateness of therapy.

• Provide continuous management of patient care.

• Deliver high-quality services to patients pursuing medical cannabis options.

• Conduct patient consultations, including assessment and continuous management.

• Engage in the collection of clinical outcome data to support evidence-driven methodologies.

• Contribute to clinical governance while upholding rigorous patient care standards.

• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and pharmacists.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional advancement.

• Focus on prescribing and patient care, allowing nurses and pharmacists to manage pre-consultation and follow-up prescribing tasks.

• Conduct 4-hour consultation sessions with 15-minute appointment intervals.

• Initially commit to a minimum of 2 sessions per week (8 hours) to achieve onboarding proficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Full GMC Registration.

• Completion of Specialist Training (CCST/CCT) or equivalent certification.

• Listed on the GMC Specialist Register for Pain.

• Experienced as a Pain Management Consultant.

• Demonstrated interest in alternative treatment options.

• Willingness to engage in data collection and reporting.

• Desire to improve outcomes for patients with complex chronic pain.

• Ability to provide sound clinical judgment.

• Readiness to complete specialist training in cannabis-based treatments.

• Initial commitment to a minimum of 2 sessions per week (8 hours).

• Legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom.
