This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• **Expected activities:**
• - Create the Advocacy Roadmap Methodology
• - Identify the elements of an effective advocacy roadmap
• - Develop a template for the roadmap
• - Ensure consistency with project objectives (multi-level, WRO-led advocacy)
• 2. Create the Advocacy Toolkit
• - Develop 12 structured, practical toolkits customized for WROs and country teams, emphasizing usability in various conflict-affected environments, collaboration with partners, accessibility, and an evidence-based advocacy strategy.
• 3. Outline the Process (How to utilize the advocacy toolkit in practice)
• - Formulate clear, step-by-step instructions for: o converting data into advocacy priorities and using these priorities to craft advocacy roadmaps
• - Specify the structured co-design methodology with WROs
• - Facilitate discussions on whether an advocacy support requirement can be addressed through a toolkit resource or an alternative learning method
****The consultant will not:****
• - Determine advocacy priorities (this is led by WROs and COs)
• - Create country-level advocacy roadmaps
• - Oversee partner engagement processes
• - Design alternative learning activities
****Duration and Timing****
• We expect the assignment to be conducted remotely from July to October 2026, requiring up to 10 working days. A comprehensive work plan with specific delivery timelines and estimated time commitments will be established upon contract execution.
• **Education:**
• - Advanced degree in social sciences, public policy, public health, social work, or another relevant area.
• **Experience:**
• - Minimum of 5 years in advocacy strategy development and crafting toolkits, frameworks, or guidance materials aimed at enhancing advocacy capabilities and supporting a variety of advocacy implementation strategies.
• - Hands-on experience collaborating with WROs, women impacted by conflict, and/or women in scenarios of severe poverty and gender discrimination.
• - Thematic expertise in feminist advocacy, women’s leadership, or Women, Peace, and Security (WPS).
• - Ability to translate complex inputs and processes into straightforward, practical guidance.
• - Experience creating succinct and accessible educational materials for a range of stakeholders.
• **Skills:**
• - Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to produce clear and high-quality final documents and facilitate virtual or asynchronous feedback sessions or channels.
• - Proficient computer skills, encompassing word processing, creating slide decks or visual presentations, and using online video conferencing platforms.
• - Proficient in English.
• **Qualities:**
• - Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• - Dedication to meeting specified deadlines.
• - Respect for confidentiality.
• **Preferred:**
• - Proficiency in French or Arabic is a plus.
• - Experience with Canva or other design software is advantageous.
