This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Collaborate closely with members of the Harbor project team and clients to lead the gathering and analysis of requirements.
• Implement best practices in legal technology.
• Facilitate the selection, implementation, and/or enhancement of legal technology systems and tools utilized by our corporate law department clients.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle.
• Support client business process evaluations, identify essential business requirements, and assist in transforming these into technical requirements and designs.
• Prepare deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, including findings and recommendations, functional and technical design documents, data maps, test scripts, training and communication plans, and training guides.
• Configure and develop technologies based on specified technical requirements and design.
• Manage system testing, track defects, and collaborate with technology providers and clients to address defects related to technology projects.
• Assist in managing project scope, schedules, work plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Maintain client expectations and project scope by communicating directly with clients to nurture relationships.
• Conduct research and stay informed about trends in the legal industry and technology, including product developments, best practices, emerging technologies, and the application of AI.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the legal or consulting sector (e.g., in-house legal department, law firm, legal software provider, consulting firm).
• At least 3 years of experience in legal technology, contributing to assessments, requirements gathering, system design, configuration, implementation, testing, and deployment, with hands-on experience implementing ELM/eBilling + Matter Management, Legal Hold, and Legal Workflow tools.
• Preferred experience with TeamConnect, CounselLink, as well as WK T360, Onit/SimpleLegal, Legal Tracker, Brightflag, doeLegal, and comparable systems.
• A four-year degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Science, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Data & Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with the implementation process, including requirement analysis, design, configuration/development, migration, testing, and change management.
• Strong observational, analytical, numerical reasoning, business acumen, problem-solving, and leadership skills; adept in process mapping.
• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities (both written and verbal) with a client service-oriented mindset.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects at once.
• Experience in project management, including overseeing tasks, resources, and financials across various stages of technology implementation projects.
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment; proactively seeks to enhance team operational efficiency through improved methodologies; capable of generating client deliverables with moderate supervision.
• A positive, enthusiastic attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit, with a strong desire to quickly learn and develop new subject matter expertise and business skills.
