This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Review, edit, and proofread CPI publications in both Portuguese and English to ensure clarity, accuracy, and coherence, adhering to CPI’s editorial standards.
• Maintain consistency in tone, voice, and style across all outputs, in accordance with organizational guidelines and the intended audiences.
• Detect and rectify grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors.
• Offer substantial editorial feedback to enhance structure, narrative flow, and overall argumentation.
• Work closely with researchers, analysts, and communications teams to clarify content and enhance readability.
• Manage a variety of documents and deadlines in a dynamic, multi-project setting.
• Perform final quality control checks before publication to ensure readiness and consistency.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of editorial processes, tools, and documentation standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Policy, Economics, International Relations, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in proofreading, copyediting, or editorial consulting.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese (mandatory).
• Demonstrated experience working with research, policy, technical, or academic content.
• Experience in editing long-form publications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word; familiarity with editorial tools and workflows is essential.
• Knowledge of climate policy, climate finance, or sustainability topics is a plus.
