This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Supervise and oversee all on-site construction operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and vendors on-site.
• Implement and uphold safety protocols in line with OSHA standards.
• Manage project documentation and reporting, utilizing construction management software (experience with Procore is preferred but not mandatory).
• Coordinate schedules, resources, and labor to meet project milestones.
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction to minimize disruptions to timelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, enforce safety measures, and ensure quality control.
• Prepare and present daily and weekly progress reports to senior management.
• Assist in project commissioning to ensure all systems and components are operational, installed according to manufacturer specifications and design, and meet performance criteria.
• Provide support with system programming and troubleshooting.
• Oversee project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and handoff to the client and/or Operations and Maintenance team.
• Be available for overnight or weekend work for critical activities, such as shutdowns.
• 5 years of general construction experience, or 3 years of general construction experience combined with 2 years in commercial solar projects.
• OSHA 10 certification is required; OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• Electrical experience or licensing is preferred but not necessary.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Strong management and leadership capabilities to guide teams and encourage collaboration.
• Exceptional client relationship management and communication skills.
• Proficient in construction processes, with a keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with construction management software (Procore experience preferred but not essential).
