This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee daily construction operations across multiple projects to ensure they stay on schedule and within budget.
• Direct a team of external construction project managers.
• Collaborate with internal resources to support Supply Chain management for Owner Furnished equipment and resources.
• Promote safety as the top priority on the jobsite, enforcing compliance with company safety plans, policies, and all related regulations.
• Lead the process of securing entitlements for data center developments, including building permits and other local AHJ processes and approvals necessary for construction.
• Identify opportunities for expedited permits and engage with local jurisdictions to facilitate timelines. Build relationships with local experts for support.
• Collaborate with construction project managers to establish necessary permit dates and ensure coordination with construction teams as needed.
• Partner with design and construction teams to create schedules that meet project milestones.
• Foster relationships that strengthen Cologix's position as an industry leader.
• Work with internal and external teams to improve processes and protocols.

• Exhibit strong planning abilities, leading through influence and acting as a proactive partner.
• Assist in preparing construction and development estimates for projects, along with project budgets and unit cost reports.
• Guide the project team in project planning and organize pre-award and pre-construction meetings.
• Engage in value engineering services when appropriate, negotiating and preparing project scopes of work and contracts.
• Assess plans and specifications for completeness and consistency, planning for the successful execution of the construction contract.
• Supervise the contractor’s procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring budgets are adhered to and procurement aligns with the construction schedule.
• Monitor the project site for cost, safety, quality, and schedule performance alongside contractors, overseeing project quality, safety, and risk management plans.
• Negotiate change orders and manage their impact on costs and budgets.
• Review and approve monthly payment requests.
• Manage payments for project design and construction costs based on document reviews and approvals, coordinating with accounting for payments and lien releases while leading regular job cost reviews.
• Collaborate closely with the commissioning team to ensure effective coordination between vendors and contractor commissioning teams for successful customer turnover.
• Oversee all final closeout procedures for projects delivered by contractors, including as-built drawings, closeout letters, and substantial completion documentation.
• Continuously monitor project costs, allowances, and contingencies within financial software.
• Demonstrate problem-solving abilities at both tactical and functional levels.
• Develop data-driven action plans for executive decision-making, presenting information effectively to facilitate efficient decision-making.
• Mitigate project risks through pre-planning, innovative strategies, and collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in construction or construction management.
• More than 5 years of experience in the mission-critical industry.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and people management abilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically for project and team needs, with a significant focus on the Columbus, Ohio market.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, cloud-based commissioning software, and financial management software platforms.
