This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provide high-level oversight for a portfolio of significant, intricate, and prominent projects, ensuring uniform execution and performance.
• Assist Project Executives throughout all project phases, from securing support and project handoff to closeout and warranty.
• Ensure that execution strategies, staffing plans, constructability reviews, and logistics plans are established early and implemented consistently across projects.
• Conduct executive-level project reviews and take action when performance diverges from the plan.
• Maintain complete P&L responsibility for all assigned projects.
• Oversee project forecasting, margin performance, management of contingencies, change strategies, and cash flow.
• Analyze financial performance and guide Project Executives in recovery planning when projects underperform.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture Project Executives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Set clear expectations for performance, accountability, and leadership behaviors.
• Support succession planning, leadership readiness, and long-term talent development initiatives.
• Engage in the hiring, evaluation, and promotion of senior project leadership.
• Ensure the effective use of Project Controls as a function to support execution.
• 15+ years of experience in industrial or large-scale commercial construction.
• Proven leadership in managing large-scale projects, multi-project portfolios, and teams.
• Demonstrated track record of full P&L accountability.
• Strong understanding of project controls, contracts, and risk management.
• Proven capability to develop senior leaders and high-performing teams.
• Proficiency in construction management and financial reporting software.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
• SPMP, PMP, CCM, or equivalent certifications, along with OSHA 30, First Aid / CPR.
• Successful delivery of projects safely, on time, and at or above planned margins.
• Strong utilization of Project Controls as a support system for execution.
• High-performing Project Executives and project teams.
• Strong customer satisfaction ratings and repeat business.
• Predictable outcomes achieved through disciplined execution.
• Vice President of Construction: Oversees Directors of Construction.
• Director of Construction: Manages multiple Project Executives and is accountable for portfolio outcomes.
• Project Executive: Leads project teams and executes individual projects with Project Controls support.
