This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belize.
• Deliver planning, coordination, and analytical assistance for conservation initiatives and operational tasks in Belize.
• Arrange meetings and events, manage schedules, document minutes, and gather decisions along with relevant materials.
• Oversee document management systems including electronic shared files and folders.
• Aid in procurement, internal contracting processes, vendor payments, expense monitoring, and budget oversight.
• Coordinate programmatic reports and updates for conservation hubs and leadership teams.
• Gather, validate, analyze, organize, and present project data, indicators, metrics, targets, baselines, and methodologies.
• Assist with monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities, synthesizing program data into technical, donor, and internal reports.
• Support the implementation of conservation management system tools across various programs.
• Help in the creation of reports, communication materials, and program correspondence.
• Provide stakeholder engagement support and address inquiries regarding program activities.
• Document workflows, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects while ensuring timely documentation and compliance.
• Maintain regular communication with program staff, other Conservancy offices, and external vendors.
• Report to the Belize Portfolio Management Officer.
• May supervise volunteers or interns, but does not hold direct staff supervision responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline, or two years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience in coordinating multiple projects and organizing agendas and events.
• Background in report writing, editing, and proofreading.
• Experience with standard business communications.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to accomplish tasks independently within designated timeframes.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Proficient in coordinating project information from diverse sources to populate databases, generate reports, and create manual or digital files.
• Preferred experience in utilizing databases for data entry and report creation.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
• Ability to plan, manage, and document the outcomes of work-team meetings and activities.
• Technologically proficient.
• Desired experience in developing and implementing MEL frameworks.
• Business qualifications enhanced by relevant conservation experience are advantageous.
• Compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program and completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a motor vehicle record review.
