This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees the workflows for new business intake from both US and offshore offices, ensuring that new submissions are processed and appropriate actions are taken.
• Evaluates and compiles conflict reports related to potential business to pinpoint possible conflicts of interest.
• Initiates the conflicts clearance process in collaboration with other conflicts team members, including those in Eversheds offices.
• Aids Supervising Partners in resolving potential conflicts of interest as instructed.
• Reviews conflict reports for updates on existing matters to detect potential conflicts and communicates findings to the Conflicts Counsel or Supervising Partner as directed.
• Examines conflict reports regarding current and former clients and current adverse parties of prospective lateral hires, summarizes potential conflicts, and reports them to the Conflicts Counsel, Attorney Recruiting, or the sponsoring Partner as directed.
• Establishes and sustains ethical screens within the firm's system, communicating this information to Eversheds conflicts staff as directed by the Conflicts Counsel.
• Conducts quarterly closures of client/matter files as needed.
• Maintains records for Consent and/or Engagement letters as directed, including updating the Elite database as necessary.
• Performs additional duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a large law firm is required.
• Experience working with large databases is also necessary.
• Experience in a global law firm is preferred.
• The candidate must be highly organized and adept at working in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent writing and proofreading abilities, and a solid client service orientation are essential.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact tactfully with all levels of firm personnel and external contacts are essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Agile Point Workflow, and Intapp Open is preferred.
