Configuration / Deployment Specialist, .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the construction, integration, and deployment of applications across backend systems and client devices (mobile and PC).

• Oversee and configure system environments while supporting system and integration testing.

• Track system performance and health, ensuring daily operations run smoothly; report and collaborate on technical issues.

• Develop, maintain, and automate CI/CD pipelines for ASP.NET applications.

• Manage and troubleshoot ASP.NET applications hosted on IIS, including application pools, bindings, SSL, and authentication processes.

• Act as a liaison with system vendors and contractors on behalf of Frontex ICT for resolving technical issues.

• Assist ICT staff and project teams in deploying and configuring development environments in Azure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A mandatory bachelor's degree in a field relevant to ICT.

• A minimum of 8 years of professional IT experience.

• At least 3 years of project experience in a comparable Configuration/Deployment role.

• Practical knowledge of Azure DevOps.

• Experience in managing CI/CD for critical, complex enterprise systems.

• Proficient in administering and troubleshooting ASP.NET applications on Microsoft IIS, including application pools, websites, bindings, SSL certificates, and authentication.

• Familiarity with Active Directory integration, Group Policies, service accounts, and Windows security principles.

• Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for ASP.NET applications.

• Proficient in Git-based workflows.

• Strong demonstrable experience in automating application deployments and updating environment configurations.

• Good understanding of software release management.

• Knowledge of RUP and/or Agile methodologies.

• Understanding of application servers, RDBMS, and common build/deployment tools such as Ant and Azure Pipelines.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work comfortably in multilingual meetings and international/multicultural teams.

• Proficiency in English at B2 level (CEFR) or higher.
