• Collaborate with the Art Director and team members to shape the game's vision.
• Design, produce, and develop high-quality sketches and rapid digital iterations (while paper sketches are acceptable, the final artwork must be digital).
• Generate and develop original concepts for characters, environments, and props, either from references or entirely from scratch.
• Participate in weekly team meetings via Slack (the instant messaging platform used for communication).
• Present concepts and ideas to the team for further exploration and discussion.
• Employ creative problem-solving to devise efficient solutions for achieving the desired look and feel of characters and environments.
• Maintain a balance between artistic elements and technical limitations.
• Modify artwork styles to align with the game's artistic direction.
• Set reasonable deadlines for yourself and ensure timely completion of work.
• Proficient in design and drawing software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, or your preferred program.
• Strong understanding of art fundamentals: lighting, composition, architecture, human anatomy, etc.
• Capability to produce high-quality concept art and illustrations for characters, creatures, environments, architecture, and beyond.
• Ability to professionally give and receive feedback and apply it to art and design.
• Adaptability and flexibility in approach.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
• Experience in the game design or game development industry is preferred.
• Having shipped one or more video game titles is recommended.
• Educational qualifications in art, design, or related fields are preferred.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 is recommended.
