Computer Engineering Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems under the mentorship of senior engineers.

• Aid in the development and testing of RESTful APIs for both internal and external integrations.

• Engage in the creation and enhancement of microservices-based architectures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, QA, and DevOps, within an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Contribute to the writing of clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance.

• Learn and implement best practices such as version control, code reviews, and testing methodologies.

• Stay informed about emerging technologies and actively participate in team learning initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science or a related field.

• Basic understanding of at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.

• Knowledge of fundamental programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms.

• Familiarity with REST APIs and foundational web development concepts.

• Basic understanding of relational databases, such as MySQL, is advantageous.

• Experience with Git or alternative version control systems.

• A strong desire to learn, adapt, and take initiative.

• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Capability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• **Considered a Plus:**

• Exposure to frameworks like Spring Boot, Laravel, or similar.

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.

• Basic understanding of microservices architecture.

• Knowledge of Docker or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Experience with personal, academic, or open-source projects.

• Interest in telecommunications or communication technologies.
