Computational CAD Engineer – OpenSCAD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

• Join our client's team as a Computational CAD Engineer with a focus on OpenSCAD.

• Lead the innovation of state-of-the-art AI-driven design training.

• Utilize advanced scripting and modeling skills to develop parametric and programmatically controlled 2D and 3D models.

• Support robust AI data workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience and expertise specifically in OpenSCAD (experience with other CAD software is not adequate).

• In-depth knowledge of OpenSCAD syntax, including constants, operators, special variables, and modifier characters.

• Demonstrated ability in creating and modifying 2D and 3D objects as well as executing Boolean operations.

• Familiarity with advanced OpenSCAD functionalities such as lists, list comprehensions, flow control, and type testing functions.

• Strong practical understanding of the OpenSCAD interface and workflow.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.

• Ability to progress from conceptual ideas to finalized designs, with an emphasis on code clarity and model accuracy.

• Previous experience in AI training data creation or automation processes is preferred.

• Knowledge of how to integrate OpenSCAD outputs into larger data pipelines is preferred.

• Strong documentation skills and a portfolio highlighting OpenSCAD projects is preferred.
