Component Manufacturing Implementation & Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Supervise the consultation, implementation, training, and support of Simpson Strong-Tie’s component solutions software.

• Collaborate with branch sales representatives to pinpoint opportunities and deliver software solutions to both existing and potential customers.

• Oversee the customer software implementation process.

• Coordinate projects in conjunction with the Design Services and Component Review Services teams.

• Serve as a bridge between the customer and the software product and development teams.

• Offer ongoing post-implementation support and training for ICS software systems.

• Work with the sales team to conduct client needs assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.

• 3-5 years of experience in the design and engineering of prefabricated metal plate connected wood trusses and/or engineered wood products (EWP).

• Familiarity with wood framed construction practices, details, relevant building codes, and design standards is preferred.

• Capability to make informed business judgments.

• Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation.

• Skill in balancing analysis, wisdom, experience, and perspective when making decisions.

• Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts (discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume).

• Capacity to identify solutions to problems and assess their strengths and weaknesses.

• Ability to respond positively to changes.

• Skill in building and maintaining productive customer relationships.

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across various functions.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.

• Proficiency in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite.

• Working knowledge of SQL databases.

• Basic understanding of computer networking and troubleshooting of hardware/software.
