This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and implement engaging compliance training programs that encompass LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME, PBRA, Rural Development, HOTMA, income and asset calculations, EIV, Fair Housing, recertifications, waitlist management, and related subjects.
• Conduct onboarding and compliance training for new employees, community managers, regional leaders, and corporate staff.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to support lease-up training for new affordable communities.
• Develop training guides, videos, learning modules, and other educational materials to enhance knowledge retention.
• Provide virtual, hybrid, and in-person training sessions throughout the organization.
• Remain updated on regulatory changes and swiftly integrate updates into training content.
• Work alongside Compliance and Property Management teams to pinpoint knowledge gaps and create focused learning solutions.
• Offer coaching and technical assistance during audits, file reviews, monitoring visits, and corrective action plans.
• Assist in the implementation of new compliance software, operational procedures, and policy enhancements.
• Help formulate standardized procedures, compliance checklists, and best practices that ensure consistency across the portfolio.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, while continuously enhancing learning programs.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Education, Organizational Development, Counseling, or a related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in affordable housing compliance (LIHTC, HUD, HOME, PBRA, Rural Development, or similar initiatives).
• Proficiency in processing affordable housing files from application to move-in.
• 1–2 years of experience in training, coaching, or facilitating learning for adult learners.
• Solid understanding of federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations.
• Familiarity with Yardi, Yardi Aspire, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Capability to convey complex compliance regulations in a practical and easy-to-understand manner.
• Experience in creating learning materials, job aids, videos, and LMS content.
• Preferred industry certifications such as HCCP, COS, or TCS (or a willingness to obtain them).
• Willingness to travel approximately 10–30%, including occasional short-notice trips.
