Compliance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Accountable for assisting Neumo's compliance initiative, which encompasses submerchant onboarding and due diligence, transaction monitoring, compliance operations, vendor management, and compliance reporting.

• Execute KYB assessments of submerchants that are government entities.

• Assess onboarding documents for thoroughness and accuracy.

• Carry out sanctions and watchlist screening evaluations.

• Aid in risk assessments and provide underwriting support.

• Review and investigate alerts generated by transaction monitoring.

• Report potentially suspicious activities to compliance management.

• Record investigative results and the outcomes of cases.

• Keep monitoring records and supporting documentation.

• Assist in managing complaints and tracking resolutions.

• Maintain records and reports related to compliance.

• Support requests from regulatory bodies and sponsor banks.

• Organize compliance-related audits and examinations.

• Assist in the upkeep of policies and procedures.

• Monitor vendor due diligence and ongoing review obligations.

• Maintain documentation for vendor compliance.

• Coordinate routine assessments of vendors.

• Generate compliance reports and management dashboards.

• Monitor key compliance performance metrics.

• Assist in reporting for the board and management.

• Undertake other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Prior experience in BSA/AML, KYB/KYC, underwriting, or payments compliance is preferred.

• Familiarity with sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and merchant underwriting processes.

• Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• A reasonable level of analytical, creative, and critical thinking abilities.

• Capability to handle confidential and sensitive information with care.

• Exhibit the principles of excellent customer service to all clients and colleagues.

• Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations.
