Compliance & Regulatory Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough audits of High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), issuing formal written approvals for compliant designs.

• Uphold data sovereignty standards by verifying routing paths and ensuring that cross-border data transfers adhere to regulations such as GDPR, UK IPA, and lawful intercept laws.

• Confirm life-safety routing by ensuring that voice architecture templates fulfill the requirements of e911, Kari’s Law, and Ray Baum’s Act.

• Serve as a stringent compliance gatekeeper by rejecting designs that fail to meet the approved regulatory baseline, guaranteeing that all deliverables are audit-ready before obtaining final client legal approval.

• Keep a comprehensive audit trail by recording the regulatory rationale for each approval or rejection to support post-migration external audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in IT compliance, technical auditing, or information security governance within the telecommunications sector.

• Extensive practical knowledge of global telecommunications regulatory frameworks, including FCC, CALEA, GDPR, UK IPA, and STIR/SHAKEN.

• Demonstrated experience in performing manual, checklist-driven technical audits and red-team style design validations without depending on external generative AI tools.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting network topology diagrams, routing tables, and firewall rule sets to pinpoint compliance risks.

• Strong ability to translate legal and regulatory obligations into clear technical audit criteria, maintaining a focus on governance over engineering design.
