This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to guarantee adherence to consumer protection regulations during the development, launch, and enhancement of deposit, payment, and lending products, offering strategic insights on regulatory requirements and operational execution.
• Direct the assessment and interpretation of compliance requirements for both new and existing products, ensuring alignment with EarnIn’s compliance framework and regulatory expectations through thorough research, analysis, and documentation.
• Track and evaluate new and changing regulatory requirements, analyzing their effects on products, marketing practices, and internal processes, and leading updates to policies, procedures, and controls to uphold compliance.
• Take charge of the creation, implementation, and ongoing management of compliance policies, procedures, and controls, conducting regular reviews and promoting enhancements to fortify the compliance program.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and supervise monitoring and testing activities that evaluate adherence to compliance policies, identify potential risks, and enact corrective measures when necessary.
• Collaborate with Compliance Managers in conducting compliance risk assessments, ensuring that risks are adequately documented and necessary controls are established.
• Propel cross-functional initiatives and projects pertaining to product and marketing compliance, ensuring that compliance objectives are embedded in project planning and execution.
• Deliver clear and practical regulatory guidance to stakeholders by converting complex requirements into actionable recommendations that facilitate compliant product development and marketing practices.
• Oversee and develop a team of compliance professionals by establishing clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, and fostering professional growth.
• Formulate and implement near-term strategic plans, oversee workload and performance, and guarantee consistent, high-quality delivery.
• Cultivate a collaborative and accountable team culture while serving as a reliable cross-functional partner to enhance a robust culture of compliance.
• Demonstrate exceptional analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to clearly document intricate investigations and regulatory analyses.
• Uphold high levels of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field in professional services, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Fintech (or financial services) certifications (e.g., CRCM, CUCE) are advantageous.
• Proven experience in reviewing marketing, advertising, or customer-facing communications.
• Background in supporting product development or product compliance initiatives.
• Strong grasp of consumer protection regulations (Reg E, Reg Z, Reg B, FCRA, etc.).
• Solid understanding of advertising standards (UDAAP, TILA, ECOA, CAN-SPAM, FTC advertising guidance).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex regulatory concepts to non-legal teams.
