This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
β’ Act as the main compliance resource for designated facilities and regional leadership teams.
β’ Offer guidance on regulatory, compliance, ethics, and privacy issues while uncovering practical solutions that align with organizational goals.
β’ Cultivate a culture of ethical decision-making, accountability, and compliance across the region.
β’ Establish trusted relationships with administrators, CEOs, physicians, and facility leaders to enhance effective compliance oversight.
β’ Ensure the continuous implementation of Tenet's Ethics, Compliance, and Privacy Program within designated facilities.
β’ Confirm compliance with the Quality, Compliance, and Ethics Charter as well as relevant federal and state healthcare regulations.
β’ Lead regional compliance initiatives, work plans, monitoring activities, and risk mitigation strategies.
β’ Execute approved monitoring and reporting processes aimed at identifying and preventing compliance issues.
β’ Facilitate the delivery of compliance, ethics, privacy, and security training programs for employees, contractors, and physicians.
β’ Raise awareness of regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and ethical business practices.
β’ Foster a robust speak-up culture where concerns can be reported without fear of retaliation.
β’ Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to identify, evaluate, and mitigate compliance risks.
β’ Assist with auditing, monitoring, investigations, and various compliance oversight activities.
β’ Oversee corrective action plans and ensure prompt follow-up and sustainable resolution of identified issues.
β’ Work together with facility and corporate stakeholders to address audit findings and compliance opportunities.
β’ Lead and engage in Compliance Committee and Board meetings, presenting on compliance trends, risks, and mitigation strategies.
β’ A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
β’ At least 3β5 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance.
β’ Experience in supporting compliance, auditing, legal, privacy, regulatory, clinical, or healthcare operations roles in a multifaceted company.
β’ Proven understanding of federal healthcare program requirements and best practices in healthcare compliance.
β’ Experience in a large, complex healthcare organization is preferred.
β’ Compliance certification (CHC, CHPC, CHRC, or similar) is preferred.
β’ Experience presenting to executive leadership, governing boards, or compliance committees is preferred.
β’ Experience overseeing compliance across multiple facilities in various regions/states is preferred.
β’ A self-driven, results-oriented individual with high personal and professional integrity.
β’ Excellent executive-level communication skills in both oral and written formats.
β’ A collaborative team player who listens well and values others' input positively.
β’ Accepts accountability and can work both independently and as part of a team.
