This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in executing and continually improving the compliance program for DraftKings' prediction market offerings, ensuring compliance with Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regulations, National Futures Association (NFA) requirements, and internal policies.
• Oversee daily compliance operations, such as monitoring, issue management, documentation, control execution, and ongoing compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance leadership to address regulatory inquiries, examinations, audits, self-certifications, and other information requests.
• Work alongside Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to convert regulatory requirements into scalable business processes, platform improvements, and go-to-market strategies.
• Create, maintain, and enhance compliance policies, procedures, playbooks, and internal controls in areas such as market surveillance, anti-money laundering and know your customer (AML/KYC), customer protection, marketing compliance, and information security.
• Assess compliance risks by reviewing alerts, documenting findings, escalating potential issues, and assisting in driving timely remediation.
• Enhance compliance operations through improved reporting, automation, tooling, and governance processes as the business expands.
• Generate dashboards, reports, and presentations that convey compliance activities, regulatory updates, emerging risks, and key metrics to internal stakeholders.
• A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, regulatory operations, legal, audit, or a related field within a futures commission merchant (FCM), designated contract market (DCM), derivatives clearing organization (DCO), introducing broker (IB), financial services organization, or regulatory agency.
• Proficient understanding of regulatory frameworks governing prediction markets, commodities, derivatives, financial markets, fintech, or other highly regulated sectors.
• Knowledge of the Commodity Exchange Act, CFTC regulations, CFTC Core Principles, NFA rules, market surveillance, AML/KYC requirements, compliance monitoring, or similar regulatory programs.
• Proven experience in supporting regulatory examinations, audits, compliance testing, policy implementation, internal controls, or regulatory reporting.
• Strong judgment skills with the ability to identify potential compliance risks, suggest practical solutions, and escalate issues when necessary.
