Compliance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Compliance Advisor

• Main contact for the German Affiliate regarding compliance inquiries related to the Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, Healthcare Compliance, Data Privacy, and Third-Party Risk Management

• Serve as the point of contact for correspondence related to local industry codes of practice and lead on any compliance issues

• Represent Sobi at the FSA compliance forum

• Act as the Affiliate Compliance liaison within the Sobi Global and Regional Compliance Network

• Coordinate with the Regional Compliance Office or the Global Compliance Department as necessary

• Ensure timely communication of potential compliance concerns to the GM and Regional Compliance Office

• Provide regular updates on compliance matters to the General Manager and local management team

• Integrate the Global Compliance Program within the German Affiliate and establish local policies, SOPs, and other supportive documentation as required

• Ensure local policies, procedures, and standards are aligned with current local laws and industry Code of Practices, and develop and implement CAPA (Corrective Action & Preventive Action) where necessary

• Stay informed about relevant local legislation and trade association practices, taking necessary steps to ensure compliance

• Lead the local implementation of global and regional compliance initiatives

• Ensure readiness for audits (e.g., maintaining proper records of meeting minutes, decision points, training documentation, etc.)

• Conduct monitoring activities, communicate findings with business management and the Regional Compliance Office, and ensure that mitigation plans are established and adhered to according to the annual Global Monitoring Plan

• Identify, evaluate, and communicate subsidiary risks, including compliance, by maintaining the German risk register and remediation action plan

• Provide advice and collaborate with business stakeholders on local compliance risk assessments and risk management

• Act as the point of contact for inquiries related to personal data protection, coordinating with the regional head of Legal & Compliance or, if necessary, with the Sobi group Data Protection Office (“DPO”)

• Ensure local vendor assessments are conducted and documented in accordance with Sobi Policy

• Develop a local training program and deliver regular compliance training and awareness to ensure that the subsidiary organization is adequately educated

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree – preferably in life sciences

• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on compliance roles within Germany

• In-depth knowledge of regional and local Code of Practices

• Strong understanding of key regulations concerning broader compliance aspects, such as ABAC, Data Protection, TPRM, HCP/HCO engagements, and transparency reporting

• Familiarity with the healthcare systems in Germany
