Compliance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, execute, and oversee the compliance framework, policies, and procedures, specifically tailored for the mortgage sector.

• Promptly investigate and resolve any compliance-related issues or complaints with efficiency.

• Proactively keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices to maintain a sharp and effective compliance strategy.

• Serve as the authority on various compliance areas, including compliance monitoring, conduct risk, TCF, SMCR, and FCA reporting.

• Collaborate with a team of brokers, underwriters, and leadership to offer guidance and training on compliance issues, ensuring the business is future-proofed.

• Review and monitor mortgage loan documentation, disclosures, and advertising to guarantee clarity, fairness, and non-misleading content.

• Act as the primary liaison for regulatory bodies, managing all reports and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services sector, preferably with a focus on mortgages or insurance.

• Comprehensive understanding of the UK's regulatory framework (FCA, etc.).

• A talent for identifying potential compliance risks and devising effective strategies to address them.

• Exceptional communication skills – capable of simplifying complex compliance topics for broader understanding.

• A proactive self-starter who can independently manage time and priorities in a fast-paced, remote setting.

• Relevant experience or degree in business, finance, or a related field is advantageous, along with certifications such as the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) being highly sought after.
