This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop an oversight program for regulatory reporting, collaborating with operations, advisory, business units/partners, and IT to identify and address compliance gaps.
• Lead initiatives aimed at rectifying any gaps or deficiencies uncovered during internal reviews, audits, or regulatory examinations.
• Supervise and spearhead various task forces or discussion groups focused on compliance-related issues while formulating enhancement strategies.
• Create and execute a plan for establishing metrics and reporting mechanisms.
• Analyze data and prepare presentations for the Board, Management, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Develop, amend, and implement compliance policies and procedures across the Bank, addressing diverse compliance issues.
• Drive the strategy for enhancing the Compliance Risk Assessment, encompassing process management, risk, and control inventory management.
• Lead initiatives involving Compliance technology, overseeing relationship management and execution.
• Manage inquiries from external regulators and internal audit teams.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, including but not limited to Regulation E, Truth in Savings Act, Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), FACTA, Reg Z-Truth in Lending, Reg B-Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
• Deliver internal services in alignment with Coastal Core Values.
• Given the dynamic nature of our organization, additional duties may be assigned as required.
• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting governmental laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance.
• Strong investigative, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities with a knack for providing feasible recommendations and solutions.
• Capacity to juggle multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines effectively.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and conduct complex analytical work autonomously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to summarize issues, articulate complex concepts clearly, create reports efficiently, and engage with a variety of individuals across all levels of the department and the financial institution.
• Must demonstrate initiative, be a self-starter, possess exceptional organizational skills, and maintain a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships at all organizational levels.
• Advanced proficiency with standard computer applications, including the Windows Office suite, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
