Compliance Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Traliant's handbook service.

• Develop, assess, modify, and refresh employee handbooks.

• Offer guidance to clients regarding workplace policies.

• Formulate EEO policies and conduct handbook reviews while meeting with prospective clients to discuss.

• Act as the Legal Compliance subject matter expert (SME) for designated legal and compliance subjects.

• As an SME, share responsibility for course development.

• Compose, evaluate, modify, and update scripts for training materials, ranging from extensive online courses to TikTok-style micro-trainings.

• Examine pre-release course builds to identify edits and errors.

• Create or assess materials to educate sales team members on course content and compliance standards.

• Prepare or review marketing materials related to content such as course pages, fact sheets, and other resources, especially concerning legal compliance aspects.

• As an SME, offer compliance advice to clients, prospective clients, and internal team members.

• As an SME, generate marketing content by writing articles and preparing and delivering webinars on contemporary legal topics.

⛳️ Requirements

• JD or equivalent degree from a recognized law school.

• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• Over 4 years of practical experience in employment law or a related legal field, preferably with law firm or in-house exposure.

• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state EEO and wage-and-hour regulations.

• Experience in drafting and reviewing compliant HR policies.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information confidently both internally and externally.

• Exceptional communication abilities and strong presentation skills; comfortable appearing on camera during both internal and external meetings.

• Demonstrated capability to manage time and workload effectively from a remote or home-based office.
