Compliance & Controls Manager, Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate marketing campaigns, customer communications, partner materials, and product launches to ensure adherence to applicable consumer protection laws and regulations prior to launch.

• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Legal, and second-line Compliance to offer practical, risk-based advice that facilitates timely business decisions while managing regulatory risks.

• Implement regulatory frameworks, including UDAAP and other consumer protection standards, to assess new marketing claims, customer journeys, and emerging product experiences.

• Assist in developing and scaling the team's first-line compliance operating model by creating practical review frameworks, governance structures, and processes that support a growing business.

• Design and continually enhance scalable review processes, procedures, checklists, and guidance that promote consistency and shorten review cycle times as the business expands.

• Recognize recurring compliance themes and suggest process improvements that fortify first-line risk management and mitigate future operational risks.

• Utilize internal tools and Generative AI solutions to enhance review efficiency, document guidance, and improve compliance workflows while applying appropriate human judgment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in reviewing marketing, advertising, or customer-facing content for compliance within banking, fintech, consumer lending, or another heavily regulated industry.

• Proficient in applying consumer protection regulations, including UDAAP and one or more of the following: Regulation B, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, or Fair Lending requirements.

• Experience in managing high-volume compliance reviews while adhering to competing deadlines and supporting multiple concurrent product or marketing initiatives.

• Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Legal, or Compliance stakeholders to facilitate product launches or marketing initiatives.
