
Compliance Business Partner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Act as the main compliance partner and advisor for MicroAire, offering practical, risk-focused guidance to leadership and various business functions.
• Engage in MicroAire leadership discussions as the primary compliance representative, assisting in the integration of ethics and compliance considerations into business strategies and decision-making processes.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with leaders in Sales, Marketing, Medical Education, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Operations, and International Business.
• Enforce Marmon Medical Group policies, standards, and procedures at MicroAire, while creating or refining MicroAire-specific procedures where local operational processes are necessary.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments for MicroAire, which include interviews with leaders and key stakeholders, a review of business activities, and analysis of pertinent internal and external risk indicators.
• Create and deliver focused in-person and online training sessions for MicroAire staff, agents, independent contractors, distributors, and other associated third parties.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degrees such as JD, MBA, MPH, MHA, or other relevant graduate degrees are preferred.
• Over 7 years of relevant experience in healthcare compliance, legal, regulatory, audit, risk management, or a similar field within the medical device, life sciences, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
• Proven knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact medical device companies, including the US Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FDA promotional and quality-related considerations, Sunshine Act/Open Payments, state disclosure laws, OIG guidance, and the AdvaMed Code of Ethics.
• Experience in international medical device markets is preferred.
• Proficient in advising stakeholders in commercial, marketing, medical education, scientific, clinical, R&D, regulatory, finance, HR, and/or legal areas on healthcare compliance issues.
• Background in implementing or enhancing compliance program components such as policies and procedures, training and education, risk assessment, monitoring and auditing, reporting and investigations, corrective actions, third-party diligence, and transparency reporting.
