Compliance Auditing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Ensure that properties adhere to the compliance standards established by the IRS, state authorities, local governments, and other relevant entities.

• Accountable for adherence to compliance regulations related to state, county, and federal funding programs, including RD and Section 8, in conjunction with Tax Credits.

• Prepare for and participate in audits, providing technical assistance during initial lease-ups as necessary.

• Evaluate applicant files for eligibility, generate reports, and offer support to onsite management.

• Employ professional communication strategies when interacting with internal and external clients, auditors, and vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required experience in Affordable Housing Compliance, including Tax Credit, HUD, HOME, RD, and BOND.

• Experience with Onesite is preferred.

• A minimum of two years of experience in affordable housing is necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Preferred experience in compliance with state, county, and federal funding programs, including Federal Section 8, low income housing tax credit (LIHTC), BOND, and HOME.

• Familiarity with One Site software is preferred.
