This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist the Compliance Management Division in ensuring legal compliance.
• Maintain good standing with regulatory agencies.
• Review and renew licenses via NMLS.
• Prepare and submit applications for licenses.
• Track continuing education requirements for MLOs.
• Conduct periodic compliance checks.
• Generate various reports and manage renewals.
• Maintain a system for tracking deadlines.
• Offer guidance on licensing issues.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in compliance.
• Experience in consumer lending compliance is preferred.
• Familiarity with data analysis, including Mortgage Call Reports and state-specific mortgage activity reports, is preferred.
• General understanding of the overall mortgage lending process.
• Previous experience in NMLS, mortgage, lending, or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and think critically.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Proficient in using PDF/Adobe software.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel are preferred.
• Basic math skills are required.
