This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main point of contact between the Compliance and Product teams.
• Organize and implement technical systems projects and updates.
• Oversee and uphold internal system settings for precision and compliance adherence.
• Investigate, monitor, and uphold state laws and regulations.
• Generate reports and deliver compliance updates to leadership.
• Ensure compliance obligations are fulfilled across all states and jurisdictions.
• Aid in the implementation of training related to regulatory changes.
• Coordinate project planning activities, meetings, documentation, milestones, and action items.
• Address Jira tickets and facilitate escalated client concerns with customer service and cross-functional teams.
• Provide customer service while fostering relationships with states, carriers, and clients.
• Assist customers with technical challenges through troubleshooting, resolution, and follow-up.
• Develop, maintain, and audit SOPs and Confluence documentation.
• Utilize AI tools to establish compliance workflows, draft documentation, and enhance planning and communication.
• Engage in initiatives aimed at automating tasks and workflows.
• Assist the Compliance Manager and VP of Tax Compliance with ad hoc requests and special projects.
• Remain informed on compliance trends, regulatory updates, and emerging AI tools.
• Undertake additional duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in surplus lines filing, accounting, or compliance.
• In-depth understanding of surplus lines compliance requirements across all 50 states and U.S. territories.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management or process coordination.
• Strong technical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Confluence, and Jira.
• Proven ability to utilize AI tools, including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or similar, in daily tasks.
• Passion for emerging AI technologies and initiatives aimed at automation and process improvement.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Industry certification (SILA, ASLI, ARC, CPCU, or equivalent) is preferred.
