This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute compliance monitoring activities to detect potential risks, discrepancies, or policy breaches.
• Examine system activities, access logs, data exchange transactions, and operational workflows for compliance issues.
• Support investigations related to privacy, security, TEFCA, participant compliance, or data usage concerns.
• Record findings, suggest corrective measures, and monitor remediation initiatives.
• Employ Databricks, SQL, or comparable analytical tools to facilitate compliance reviews, audits, and investigations.
• Create and execute queries or utilize contemporary tools to assess data exchange activities, access trends, user behaviors, and operational metrics.
• Utilize AI as appropriate to generate reports and dashboards that aid in compliance monitoring and risk management efforts.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to enhance automated compliance monitoring capabilities and optimize the use of AI tools.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with TEFCA, the Common Agreement, and QHIN operational standards.
• Keep abreast of changes in healthcare regulations, interoperability standards, and industry guidance.
• Assist with regulatory audits, assessments, and external evaluations.
• Engage in compliance reviews for new products, services, partnerships, and business ventures.
• Aid in the formulation and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and standards.
• Support compliance training and awareness initiatives for employees and business partners.
• Help sustain compliance documentation and evidence repositories.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, Security, Privacy, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Offer practical compliance advice to business stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and regulatory excellence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Public Health, Business, Information Systems, Law, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, healthcare operations, health information exchange, health IT, healthcare privacy, or related regulatory roles.
• Proficient understanding of HIPAA and other privacy regulations, TEFCA and interoperability frameworks, the 21st Century Cures Act and Information Blocking requirements, as well as healthcare privacy and security principles.
• Experience in conducting compliance monitoring, audits, investigations, or risk assessments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, process-oriented, and documentation capabilities.
• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication abilities.
• Familiarity with reviewing healthcare technical specifications.
• Experience in utilizing AI-powered tools to improve compliance workflows.
