This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, OIG guidance, and specific billing requirements for DME and Home Infusion.
• Monitor regulatory and payer updates while assisting in the revision of internal policies, procedures, and guidance.
• Work in collaboration with billing and coding teams to address compliance-related challenges.
• Conduct routine and targeted compliance audits of third-party vendors, documentation, and internal operational workflows.
• Recognize trends, risks, and compliance deficiencies, aiding in the formulation of corrective action plans.
• Track and verify remediation efforts to guarantee ongoing compliance.
• Support compliance training and education concerning ACU-Serve’s corporate compliance standards and initiatives.
• Convey audit findings and regulatory updates in a clear and actionable manner.
• Compile audit summaries, compliance reports, and tracking logs.
• Assist with responses to HITRUST audits, customer compliance inquiries, and requests for compliance-related documentation.
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate and organized compliance records.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Compliance, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare billing, compliance, auditing, or revenue cycle management.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer billing requirements.
• Ability to operate independently in a remote setting while managing competing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Experience in a third-party billing or revenue cycle management organization.
• Practical experience with DME and/or Home Infusion billing.
• Exposure to OCR audits, HITRUST certification requirements, or compliance investigations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Proficiency in billing platforms, EHRs, and Microsoft Office (Excel required).
• Professional certifications such as CHC, CHPC, CPC, CCS, or similar.
• Understanding of HIPAA privacy and security requirements in a remote work environment.
