This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist clients in managing their 401(k) plans by performing compliance testing, handling annual IRS filings, and providing plan-design consulting.
• Prepare and evaluate compliance tests including ADP/ACP, Deductibility, Top Heavy, 401(a)(4), 402(g), 410(b), and 415.
• Analyze plan documents and offer clients recommendations on optimal plan designs.
• Draft amendments and notices for plan documents.
• Review Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs).
• Calculate annual contributions, including new comparability calculations.
• Review, prepare, and guarantee timely submission of Forms 5500, 5330, and 8955-SSA.
• Provide support to Relationship Managers with compliance inquiries, problem resolution, and issue management.
• Assist auditors as necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with ERISA legislation and any proposed changes in legislation.
• Work collaboratively with onboarding, Customer Support, Relationship Managers, and internal operations teams.
• A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in retirement plans.
• At least 1 year of experience in compliance testing, annual IRS reporting requirements, comprehensive knowledge of plan documents, and Form 5500 filings.
• Familiarity with ERISA and IRS regulations.
• Proficiency in researching solutions and interpreting technical literature.
• Strong skills in spreadsheet applications.
• Demonstrated mathematical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to all levels of the organization.
• Self-motivated individual eager to propose and implement process enhancements.
• Willingness to pursue an industry designation within the first 12 months, such as ASPPA or NIPA.
