Compiler Engineer, SCIP Maintainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the infrastructure that enables millions of developers to excel in their work.

• Develop SCIP into a vibrant, self-sustaining, multi-party open standard.

• Influence governance and the strategic direction by overseeing the protocol alongside its indexer ecosystem.

• Review and mentor contributors while helping to shape Sourcegraph's product vision for code intelligence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior to staff-level advocate for open-source standards with verified expertise in compilers and programming languages.

• Proven experience in creating or leading a developer tool or standard utilized by multiple organizations.

• Familiarity with code-intelligence formats and tools such as SCIP, LSIF, LSP, tree-sitter, rust-analyzer, or similar ecosystems.

• Eagerness to learn Go, which is the programming language used for our backend.
