This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Execute market benchmarking by utilizing survey data platforms and publicly accessible resources.
• Contribute to the design and evaluation of job architecture, salary frameworks, and pay scales.
• Examine job descriptions to ensure proper alignment within established leveling structures.
• Collect, cleanse, and arrange compensation data, guaranteeing its quality and precision.
• Evaluate market trends and pay equity information to bolster client recommendations.
• Assist in statistical analyses to guide decisions regarding compensation design.
• Aid in maintaining compliance with regulations related to compensation (e.g., EEO, FLSA).
• Create clear and concise summaries and visuals for both internal and client-facing presentations and reports.
• Support management of compensation projects and planning cycles.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients and team members regarding deliverables and project initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a similar role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a consulting firm or professional services setting.
• Solid understanding of compensation principles, including job evaluation, benchmarking, pay equity, and market pricing.
• Proven expertise in benchmarking roles against public and private sector market data through both publicly available and proprietary survey sources (e.g., Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, ERI, Salary.com).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF statements, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS/AVERAGEIFS/COUNTIFS, and data modeling), along with demonstrated experience in data quality assurance (QA).
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite (e.g., Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, 365, Teams).
• Exceptional attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, showcasing the ability to engage proactively with teammates and clients regarding deliverables and project initiatives.
• Familiarity with compensation-related regulations and compliance standards, including EEO and FLSA.
• Ability to excel in a remote, fast-paced consulting environment, demonstrating significant autonomy, self-discipline, and organizational skills.
