
Companion Animals Campaign Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create outreach campaigns and other strategies by pinpointing target audiences and conducting research to achieve successful results.
• Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to engage in strategic planning aimed at liberating animals from exploitative situations, such as rescuing dogs from policing and birds/snakes from pet stores, while incorporating guidance from other departments on priority issues.
• Develop thoughtfully crafted campaigns that address emerging and underrepresented issues concerning companion animals.
• Propose impactful campaign messages and mediums that drive change across diverse platforms, including media outlets and social media channels.
• Evaluate and analyze campaign effectiveness, recommending enhancements to maximize impact, and adjusting tactics according to performance and outcomes to improve our effectiveness.
• Keep track of emerging stories and trends (e.g., K9 fatalities in hot cars) and convert responses into proactive, long-term solutions.
• Develop expertise in companion animal issues.
• Foster relationships with other organizations, experts, and allies to enhance campaign outreach and credibility.
• Utilize independent judgment and initiative to identify problems, propose solutions, and drive measurable change for animals.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience, such as in veterinary, shelter, or non-profit operations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• This position demands a flexible, innovative leader who can autonomously develop and implement impactful strategies to address urgent companion animal issues.
• Established track record of generating creative ideas and utilizing critical thinking in planning and execution.
• Ability to cultivate productive professional relationships, promote collaboration, and work in a solutions-oriented manner to adapt plans as necessary.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven capacity to produce outstanding and accurate research and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of animal liberation issues and PETA campaigns.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments, juggle multiple tasks, and work independently.
