β’ Lead and manage community programming: contributor summits, virtual deep dives, GitOps Monthly webinars, live Q&As, and conference co-located meetups.
β’ Act as a credible external representative for Akuity at industry events; you genuinely enjoy engaging with developers about GitOps and software delivery.
β’ Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and product teams to ensure events translate interest into sustained community engagement.
β’ 5β8 years of experience in community management or developer relations within an open-source or developer tools environment.
β’ Knowledge of the Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystem β you understand what GitOps entails, are familiar with Argo CD, and are comfortable working with YAML files.
β’ Demonstrated success in growing a technical open-source community in a significant and measurable manner.

β’ Strong asynchronous writing skills β you excel in GitHub comments, community newsletters, Slack threads, and release-adjacent content.
β’ Comfortable with data: you track key metrics, build cases based on data, and make adjustments independently.
β’ Naturally collaborative β you will work closely with teams across engineering, product, and marketing.
β’ Experience using Argo CD or Kargo in real-world applications, or contributing to either project (Nice to Have).
β’ Active engagement in CNCF, OpenSSF, or similar cloud-native communities (Nice to Have).
β’ Experience speaking at KubeCon, ArgoCon, or other comparable developer conferences (Nice to Have).
