This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Examine research submissions for adherence to regulatory, ethical, and institutional standards.
β’ Prepare for and engage actively in scheduled meetings.
β’ Assess risks, benefits, and safeguards related to research protocols.
β’ Detect instances of non-compliance, protocol deviations, or safety issues.
β’ Uphold the confidentiality of sensitive research data.
β’ Offer recommendations regarding the approval, modification, suspension, or termination of studies.
β’ Record reviews and decisions in line with institutional policies.
β’ Fulfill mandatory training and disclose any conflicts of interest.
β’ Review research involving recombinants or synthetic nucleic acids, biohazards, and infectious agents.
β’ Evaluate containment levels, laboratory safety measures, and personnel protections.
β’ Ensure compliance with biosafety regulations and institutional biosafety guidelines.
β’ Analyze incident reports and corrective actions.
β’ Suggest risk mitigation strategies for managing hazardous biological work.
β’ An advanced degree or equivalent experience in science, medicine, research ethics, regulatory affairs, biostatistics, veterinary medicine, biosafety, or a related field (requirements may vary by committee).
β’ Proven understanding of research regulations and ethical standards.
β’ Previous experience on compliance or oversight committees.
β’ Experience in regulatory or clinical research.
β’ Training in human subjects protection, animal welfare, biosafety, or data monitoring.
