This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Conduct commissioning and testing of substation and interconnect equipment.
• Assist the SCADA team with system integration and troubleshooting tasks.
• Keep precise logs, checklists, and LOTO documentation up to date.
• Lead or support the startup and energization processes of electrical systems.
• Educate subcontractors and vendors on safety protocols, including LOTO and Energized Zone procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve field issues, including the development of methods of procedure.
• Attend daily and weekly progress meetings, maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
• Independently manage smaller projects while leading field service teams on larger initiatives.
• Provide timely service reports and share insights on equipment performance.
• Carry out NETA and NERC testing for external customers.
• Exemplify and implement Koch’s Guiding Principles in all work endeavors.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 80% and work weekends/holidays as necessary.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or higher with at least 3 years of experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems.
• Alternatively, completion of an accredited trade school and/or program with 7 or more years of experience in evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems may be accepted in place of a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems.
• Proven experience in performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis.
• Familiarity with protective relays.
• Capability to work outdoors and meet project-site physical requirements, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
