This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Develop, oversee, and implement the commissioning execution strategy, schedule, and budget.
• Ensure that project milestones are met promptly and within financial constraints.
• Verify that activities align with the site EHS plan and adhere to safe work systems.
• Coordinate contractual tests with the client and confirm the adequacy of the contract.
• Deliver completed systems to the client without defects and follow up on punch-list items.
• Manage, evaluate, supervise, support, and advocate for commissioning personnel.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards through assigned responsibilities, inspections, tests, witness points, and quality documentation.
• Conduct commissioning in accordance with specifications, engineering and commissioning documents, safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and local laws.
• Accept system turnover from construction to commissioning and facilitate the transition to the client.
• Manage, execute, coordinate, and oversee commissioning of systems according to the schedule, contract, and in collaboration with the Site Manager, project management, and client.
• Assess project risks and ensure the implementation of mitigation strategies.
• Identify and evaluate technical issues, monitor defects, develop solutions, seek technical support, and report challenges.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced team members and may lead small, low-risk projects.
• Experience in commissioning and familiarity with Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) and aeroderivative power plants.
• Proven experience in leading supervisors and technicians during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED combined with a minimum of 10 years of commissioning experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally for extended assignments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Capability to analyze and resolve issues effectively.
• Proficient in documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs.
• Established project management skills.
• Preferred experience as a Commissioning Manager for CCPP or other types of power plants.
• Strong skills in teamwork, motivation, influence, and persuasion.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
