This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Oversee commissioning tasks for BMS, EPMS, PLC, and SCADA systems in mission-critical and data centre projects.
• Conduct advanced system validation, which includes point-to-point checks, functional testing, and integrated systems testing (IST).
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve intricate system issues involving controls, networking, and field devices.
• Adjust, develop, and enhance PLC logic and SCADA/BMS software during the commissioning process.
• Assist in system integration among mechanical, electrical, and control systems to guarantee seamless operation.
• Validate control sequences under various scenarios, including normal operations, failures, and redundancy (including failover testing).
• Support and guide Level 35 commissioning activities, which include client witnessing and approval processes.
• Review design documents, control narratives, and software to ensure consistency with field implementation.
• Create and maintain comprehensive commissioning reports, test scripts, and issue logs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Communicate effectively and proactively with internal teams, clients, and partners.
• Recognize and escalate risks, constraints, or changes in scope promptly.
• Follow company policies, QMS requirements, and established safety protocols.
• Deliver precise, high-quality outcomes with a keen attention to detail.
• A degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Automation, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning, controls engineering, or system integration.
• Extensive experience in mission-critical and data centre settings.
• Strong understanding of BMS, EPMS, PLC, and SCADA systems (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, Schneider).
• Experience in developing or modifying PLC code and SCADA/BMS graphics in live project environments.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, control architectures, and networked systems.
• Ability to interpret and validate control sequences, schematics, and design documents.
• Proven capability in troubleshooting across software, hardware, and integration layers.
• Familiarity with commissioning processes including FAT, SAT, and IST (Level 15).
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
